Clara Thomas is the current Assembly Member for District 17 in the state of Nevada. She has also been a vocal advocate for criminal justice reform, including ending cash bail and reforming the state’s parole system. In addition to her legislative work, Clara Thomas has been a leader in her community. Also a member of local union 1107, she has been a mentor to young people in her district and has worked to create opportunities for them to succeed. She has also been a strong advocate for small businesses, helping them to access resources and support.

Shondra Summers-Armstrong is a 24 year employee of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC), an Executive Board Member of SEIU Local 1107, and serves as Chief Steward at the RTC. Shondra was inspired to get involved with activism and politics after attending a community meeting about a street closure. Since then, she has been a member of the West Las Vegas Plan Team, a commissioner on the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority, and a commissioner on the Southern Nevada Enterprise Community Board. She is the proud mother of three sons.
