Maryland State Senate District 43 is represented by Senator Mary Washington. Also a local member of SEIU MD500, Senator Washington is a member of the Democratic Party. Serving on the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee, the Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee, and the Joint Committee on Federal Relations. In addition to her legislative work, Senator Washington is a member of the Maryland Women’s Caucus and the Maryland Legislative Black Caucus.
