As a member of the Illinois General Assembly, Collins has been a strong advocate for education reform, criminal justice reform, and economic development. As a local member of HCII, she is part of our SEIU Women of Color Candidate Pipeline Program. She has also been a vocal supporter of gun control legislation and has been a leader in the fight to end gun violence in her district. In addition to her legislative work, Collins has been active in her community.
